Delta Blues Festival Fund Raiser

For the past 13 years, the Delta Blues Festival has provided the residents of Antioch and the surrounding communities a great day of family entertainment downtown at Waldie Plaza. All of this has been done for FREE - due to the generous support of the City of Antioch, the Corporate Sponsors, and hard work of the volunteers. Festival organizer Frank Giovanni is determined to continue the tradition of the DBF and to keep it free to the public.

In 2010, El Campanil Theatre presented the first Delta Blues Festival Benefit Concert, with great acceptance and great attendance. Since then, many of you have asked for more!

We hear you! We are reading your emails and listening to your requests. You want more.

The DBF appreciates your participation and support of the festival and we welcome the opportunity of our Benefit Concert series to make the DBF a FREE annual event.

On February 11, 2012, we have stepped up our offer and have put together a show full of national blues acts that will fulfill everyone's blues to-do's. This year, we are offering a traditional blues show, with national acts who have never performed in our area.

The line up consists of:

Candye and Laura were nominated for a 2010 National Blues Foundation Award for Best Contemporary Blues CD.

The Ricky Earl Band - Dynamic and powerful.

featuring Cherise Earl - Worked with greats like Little Milton and Solomon Burke

BigCat Tolefree - West Coast blues and soul sound!

Kathy Tecjka- Barrel-house piano boogie-woogie!

Frankie G - Bay Area blues singer and guitarist
